So Obama is going to vote to let the telecoms slither off the financial hook. Like they wouldn't pass the damages on to you and the rest of their customers. And he's going to funnel money to faith-based groups like Catholic Charities that have helped countless kids in trouble with a safe place to lay their heads and the Salvation Army that has helped countless down and out human souls with a bowl of soup and a piece of bread.

Does Obama's drift to the center tempt you to not bother showing up to the polls because somehow he is not the saving angel you fantasized him to be? Well then, please take your share of the responsibility for the next generation of young Americans who will have inadequate education. The next generation of young women who will have to use the "back alley" alternative and suffer pain, infection and often death. The next generation of displaced workers who will not be able to buy a decent home, build a modest retirement, or provide their kids with just a tiny chance for something better. The next generation of innocent Iranians and, as a result, innocent Israelis, who will be blown to smithereens.

It is our responsibility, yours and mine, for the next generation. We cannot forfeit that responsibility because Barack Obama did not pan out to be our own personal, perfect change agent. Please.
