The Democratic Party of New Mexico will be hosting a Caucus Training on Saturday, January 19th, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Forum at the College of Santa Fe, 1600 St. Michael’s Dr. for anyone who would like to volunteer to administer the New Mexico Presidential Preference Caucus on February 5th, 2008.
The New Mexico Presidential Preference Caucus is a statewide election conducted on February 5th, 2008 by the Democratic Party of New Mexico for the purpose of voting for the Democratic nominee for President of the United States. The results of this election will be used to determine New Mexico’s allocation of delegates among the Democratic Presidential Candidates to the Democratic National Convention in August 2008. There will be a total of 184 caucus sites in New Mexico on February 5th.
There are 22 Caucus Sites in Santa Fe and the Democratic Party of New Mexico will need volunteers to administer each site through out the day on Tuesday, February 5th.
The Caucus Training is geared to direct volunteers on how to administer their Caucus Site and to identify anyone who is interested in helping out.
Any registered Democrat that is interested in volunteering should show up to this training and sign up for a Caucus Site on February 5th.
